The difference between VFFS Packaging Machine and filling machine

VFFS Packaging Machine

Often referred to as a Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) machine. It uses packaging materials such as plastic film and composite film, and through various operations such as heat sealing and thermoforming, it forms packaging bags, fills them with the product, and then seals them.

Filling Machine

As the name suggests, its sole function is to fill a precise quantity of product into existing containers, whether bottles or jars. Filling machines can be used independently or in combination with various packaging machines to form a unit.

Which one do you need?

You need a filling machine if you meet the following criteria:

You already have pre-made containers (e.g., glass bottles).
Containers that cannot be handled by a pouch filling machine (such as drums or cans) need to be filled.
A manual or semi-automatic production line is in operation, requiring manual placement of containers under the nozzle.

You need VFFS packaging machine if you meet the following criteria:

You want to save costs by using roll film instead of purchasing expensive pre-made packaging bags.
You need a compact, automated solution.
You are producing large quantities of disposable items (e.g., ketchup packets, sugar cubes, shampoo samples).
